Turkey Earthquake: 6.1 Magnitude Strikes Balikesir, One Dead
A strong earthquake hit the Balikesir province in Turkey on Sunday evening.
The earthquake measured 6.1 on the magnitude scale and caused damage in the Sindirgi district.
Sadly, one person died, and 29 others were injured.
Several buildings collapsed, though many weren't in use.
Rescue teams are working to assess the damage, and aftershocks continue.
The government is providing support, and the President expressed solidarity with those affected.
