UP Mandates GPS Tracking for Foodgrain Transport
The Uttar Pradesh government has decided that all foodgrains must be transported in vehicles with GPS tracking.
This is to make sure that the food does not get stolen or diverted on the way to the shops.
Over 5,000 vehicles have been equipped with GPS to track the foodgrains in real-time.
The government says this will help stop theft and make sure the food reaches the people who need it.
They have also changed how foodgrains are stored and delivered to make the process more transparent and accountable.
So far, a lot of foodgrains and sugar have been allocated to people in need, and the GPS tracking ensures they get it on time.
