Keralam to Hold Special Voter Enrolment Drive Across State
Keralam is planning a special drive to help more people register to vote.
Village offices will have digital help desks from October 15 to October 31.
People can apply online using Form 6 through a government portal or an app.
They must provide a document showing details such as their age and address.
If they use Aadhaar, they also need another supporting document.
Election workers will check applications, including by visiting homes.
Officials will also review differences between voter lists and check some applications from an earlier revision.
Schools and colleges will take part in a week-long campaign starting November 2 to encourage young people to enrol.
Chief Electoral Officer D Sajith Babu said district collectors were directed on October 5 to conduct a statewide special voter enrolment drive.
Digital help desks will operate at village offices from October 15 to October 31.
Applicants must submit online Form 6 through the Citizen Service portal or Voter Helpline app, with an eligible document; Aadhaar submissions require an additional supporting document.
Booth-level officers will conduct household checks, while electoral registration officers will examine changes between two electoral rolls and uncollected Special Intensive Revision applications.
