Adani Electricity Urges Safe Dahi Handi Celebrations Across Mumbai
Adani Electricity wants Dahi Handi celebrations to be safe.
It held a safety drive before Janmashtami.
Company teams spoke with organisers and electricians.
They said stages and Handis must stay away from overhead power lines.
Organisers should use approved temporary electricity connections.
Licensed electricians should do all wiring work.
Electrical boxes should be protected and metal structures should be properly grounded.
People should never use unauthorised connections or put water near electrical equipment.
The company said its emergency electricity helpline is 19122.
Adani Electricity Mumbai conducted an electrical safety awareness drive across its licence area on September 4.
Teams met Dahi Handi organisers and electrical contractors to explain safety practices and distribute dos and don’ts.
Organisers were told to maintain distance from overhead power lines and use metered temporary connections.
Electrical work should be handled by licensed contractors using adequately rated ISI-marked cables, MCBs, RCCBs and proper earthing.
The company warned against unauthorised connections, overloaded circuits, unsafe structures and water near electrical equipment.
