TPF Urges Telangana Chief Minister to Prioritise Education

The Telangana People’s Front says education in Telangana needs urgent help.

It wrote to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy with three proposals.

The group travelled around the region and spoke with families, teachers, villagers and local representatives.

It visited government and private schools and held public meetings.

TPF wants rules to control private-school fees.

It also wants existing government schools, colleges and universities to be strengthened.

The group proposed making the Telangana Public Schools programme permanent through a law.

It further wants a law requiring at least 18% of the State’s annual budget to go to education.
