ZF CVCS India Secures NABL Accreditation for Chennai NVH Chamber
ZF CVCS India has received official approval for a special testing laboratory in Chennai.
The approval comes from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, known as NABL.
The laboratory tests how noisy, shaky or harsh vehicles and vehicle parts can be.
Its chamber creates carefully controlled sound conditions for these tests.
It can test vehicles up to five metres long and 2.5 metres high.
The chamber is part of a much larger vehicle-testing site near Chennai.
The approval will help ZF provide reliable testing for customers in India and other markets.
It can be used for both traditional and electric vehicle technologies.
The accreditation will remain valid until July 2030.
ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Ltd said its Chennai Hemi Anechoic Chamber Testing Laboratory received NABL accreditation.
The accreditation follows the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard and recognizes the laboratory’s technical competence and quality systems.
The 144-square-metre chamber supports automotive Noise, Vibration and Harshness testing for vehicles up to five metres long and 2.5 metres high.
The facility is part of ZF’s 200-acre, TÜV-certified proving ground near Chennai, which supports development and homologation across several vehicle segments.
The accreditation is valid through July 2030 and covers conventional and electrified vehicle technologies, including braking, steering, electric-motor and electronic systems.
