Canada Orders Deportation of SFJ Member Gurpreet Singh
A man named Gurpreet Singh, who is part of a group called Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), was told to leave Canada and go back to India.
He asked the court to stop this because he said he would be in danger in India.
But the court said no because they didn't find enough proof that he would be hurt.
The court also said that Canada needs to follow its rules about who can stay in the country.
So, Singh has to leave Canada and go back to India.
A Canadian court ordered the deportation of Gurpreet Singh, a member of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), to India.
Singh claimed he would face irreversible harm in India due to his pro-Khalistan activities, but the court rejected his claims.
The court found insufficient evidence to support Singh's claims of specific risk upon his return to India.
Singh was convicted of assault with a weapon in Canada and entered the country illegally.
The court emphasized the importance of maintaining the integrity of Canada's immigration system.
