Nestle India Q1: Profit Down 13.4%, Revenue Climbs 6%
Nestle India, the company behind Maggi noodles, made less profit in the first few months of the year, about 13% less than last year.
However, they made more money overall because they sold more products.
Sales went up both at home and to other countries.
Even though they made more money, costs went up, like the price of ingredients and running the factories.
Coffee prices went down, and milk prices stayed pretty steady.
The head of the company, Suresh Narayanan, is retiring, and Manish Tiwary will take over.
Sales of Nescafe coffee were good this quarter.
Nestle India's consolidated profit after tax (PAT) decreased by 13.4% year-on-year (YoY) in Q1 FY26.
Revenue from operations increased by 6% YoY, driven by growth in domestic and export sales.
Total income for the June quarter increased by 5% YoY.
The fall in profitability was attributed to elevated input costs and higher operational expenses.
Manish Tiwary will take over as Chairman and Managing Director effective August 1, following Suresh Narayanan's retirement.
