Punjab CM Mann Distributes Loan Waivers to Underprivileged Families
Punjab's Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann, is helping underprivileged families by forgiving their loans.
These families, including those from Scheduled Castes and with disabilities, had trouble repaying.
The government will pay back about 68 crore rupees to the loan provider, benefiting around 4,800 families.
The loans were used for self-employment ventures, but people lost jobs or faced other hardships.
The government is waiving these loans, so the families won't have to pay them back.
