IndiGo Vacates 717 Slots After DGCA Cuts

IndiGo, a big airline in India, had to give up over 700 flight times (called slots) at different airports.

This happened because the government's flight safety group, DGCA, told them to reduce their flights by 10% after they had a lot of cancellations and delays in December.

These slots are for flights from January to March.

Most of the slots are from big cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

Other airlines can now ask to use these slots, but they might not want to because many of these flights are at night.

The government also fined IndiGo and asked them to give a big amount of money as a guarantee to make sure they don't have these problems again.
