Sinkhole Near Gurgaon’s IFFCO Chowk Prompts Traffic Diversion

A section of a service road near IFFCO Chowk suddenly sank and formed a deep hole.

The road is near the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.

This happened one day after heavy rain caused widespread waterlogging in Gurgaon.

The hole could have been dangerous for people driving nearby.

Traffic police blocked the damaged area with reflective barricades and signs.

They also directed vehicles away from the sinkhole.

Officials informed the National Highways Authority of India and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority.

Technical teams went to the site to find out what caused the road to sink.
