Zee Promoters Infuse Capital, Increasing Stake and Driving Growth
Zee Entertainment's (ZEE) owners are putting more money into the company.
They plan to increase their ownership by investing over two thousand crore rupees.
The money comes partly from recovering funds and will be used to help Zee grow.
They'll get some of the money right away and the rest later.
This move aims to make Zee stronger and allow it to invest in new business opportunities.
Zee promoters plan to raise their stake to 18.39% through a Rs 2,237-crore fund infusion.
The promoters will subscribe to nearly 170 million warrants at Rs 132 each.
Zee's parent company, Essel Group, is recovering funds from state governments.
Around 25% of the funds (Rs 560 crore) will be received upfront, with the rest staggered over 18 months.
