Madhya Pradesh Faces Heavy Rain From September 23
Madhya Pradesh may get a lot of rain starting September 23.
The rain could become stronger on September 24 and 25.
Weather officials have warned about heavy to very heavy rain in 17 districts.
A low-pressure area is helping create these rainy conditions.
Eastern parts of the state are expected to be affected the most.
Bhopal and Narmadapuram have already seen rain and strong winds.
The winds damaged some religious festival structures and caused a power outage in part of Narmadapuram.
The state has received less rain than usual so far this season.
The new rain may help reduce that shortage.
The IMD forecasts a fresh spell of heavy rain in Madhya Pradesh from September 23.
Seventeen districts may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall on September 24 and 25.
A developing low-pressure area is expected to affect eastern districts and several administrative divisions.
Bhopal and Narmadapuram recently experienced rain, strong winds, power disruption and damage to Ganesh pandals.
Madhya Pradesh has recorded 856.8 mm of rain, about 6% below its normal 922.6 mm total.
