Editorial criticizes Zuckerberg's AI manifesto for reductive vision of freedom

Mark Zuckerberg, who runs the company Meta, wrote a very long essay about artificial intelligence, or AI.

In the essay, he says that soon everyone will have their own smart AI helper.

This helper could manage our health, money, jobs, homes and even our friendships.

He says AI will give everyone amazing tools to make things and start businesses.

But a newspaper called Telegraph India wrote an article disagreeing with him.

The article says that when machines do everything for us, we lose the small caring things that make us human, like deciding on a recipe together.

It also says that making a picture with AI is not the same as learning how to draw.

If AI does our homework for us, we might not really learn.

The article agrees with one of Zuckerberg's ideas: letting anyone use AI programs freely.

But it says real decisions about water, electricity and the environment still need people to have a say.
