Coimbatore Reservoirs Near Capacity, Discharging Water After Rainfall

Coimbatore Reservoirs Near Capacity, Discharging Water After Rainfall

Imagine big water tanks, called reservoirs, that store water.

In Coimbatore, India, these tanks are filling up quickly because it's been raining a lot.

The Pillur Dam is almost full, so they're letting extra water out into the river, like opening a faucet too wide.

People near the river are told to be careful.

Another water tank, the Siruvani Dam, is also getting full and releasing water.

This is to make sure the tanks don't overflow and cause problems.

Officials are watching everything closely to keep the water flowing and prevent floods.
