Glenmark Launches Adapalene Pump Packs in US OTC Market
Glenmark has started selling an acne gel in the United States.
The gel contains adapalene, a medicine also found in Differin Gel.
It comes in two pump-pack sizes: 15 grams and 45 grams.
The packs are listed for sale on Amazon and Walmart.com.
Glenmark says the pump makes the gel easier to dispense.
The company says its product is not made or distributed by Galderma, the company behind Differin.
Glenmark reported that the market for Differin Gel and equivalent products had about $45.8 million in annual sales over a stated 52-week period.
Glenmark says its gel should be used according to the directions on its own approved label.
