Srinagar Flights to Resume June 16 After Pahalgam Attack
Flights from Kolkata to Srinagar, which were stopped after an attack, are starting up again on June 16th.
Airlines like Air India Express and IndiGo had stopped flying because not many people were traveling to Kashmir.
The airlines wanted to wait until people felt safe and ready to visit again.
They also needed time to change their flight schedules.
Travel agents are excited because they hope more people will visit Kashmir now.
The flights were suspended because of low tourist numbers following an attack and also due to an operation by India to counter terrorist camps.
Flights to Srinagar from Kolkata are scheduled to restart on June 16.
Flights were discontinued after a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
Air India Express and IndiGo Airlines previously suspended flights due to low passenger numbers.
The delayed resumption aimed to allow tourist confidence to recover.
