Indian Army Intensifies Winter Operations in J&K
The Indian Army is working very hard in the cold winter months in Jammu and Kashmir to find and stop terrorists.
Usually, during the very cold part of winter, called Chillai Kalan, terrorists hide because it's hard to move around.
But this year, the Army is setting up temporary camps and using special tools like drones to keep watching these areas.
They are working with other police and security groups to share information and catch the terrorists.
There are about 30-35 terrorists hiding in the mountains, and the Army is trying to make sure they can't move around or get supplies.
The Army is also using special troops trained for winter fights and new technology to help them in their mission.
The Army is also working with local people to keep them safe and to stop the terrorists from getting help from the villages.
The Indian Army has intensified counter-terrorism operations in Kishtwar and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir during the harsh winter season.
Approximately 30-35 Pakistani terrorists are believed to be hiding in the higher and middle-mountain reaches of the region.
The Army is using an integrated approach involving multiple security agencies, including the J-K Police, CRPF, and forest guards, to share intelligence and conduct coordinated operations.
Modern technology, such as drones, ground sensors, surveillance radars, and thermal imaging devices, is being used to detect and track terrorist movements in the snow-bound areas.
The Army has adopted a proactive winter posture, establishing temporary bases and surveillance posts deep within the snow-covered areas to maintain continuous pressure on potential terrorist hideouts.
