New Navi Mumbai Center Offers Shelter and Care for Children with Cancer
Imagine a special place built in Navi Mumbai where kids fighting cancer and their families can live while the kids get treatment.
This new center, opened by St. Jude India with help from the Rotary Club and PVSC, offers more than just a room.
It's like a warm home that gives them yummy food, helps with schoolwork, and offers comforting talks.
They even have a van to easily get to the hospital.
This big project is designed to help thousands of families over many years, making sure they have a safe and supportive place to stay during a very tough time.
A new facility with 21 residential units has been inaugurated in Navi Mumbai to support children undergoing cancer treatment and their families.
The center, a collaboration between PVSC, Rotary Club of Bombay, and St. Jude India, is located within the ACTREC campus of Tata Memorial Centre.
Services provided include shelter, nutritious meals, counseling, educational assistance, and transportation to and from the hospital via a new 25-seater van.
