Trump Says He Will Host Xi Jinping at September Summit

Donald Trump says he plans to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping in Washington in September.

The two leaders have been preparing for the meeting through diplomatic talks.

They are expected to discuss trade, global safety, and human rights.

The United States and China are still having disagreements about tariffs and technology.

They also disagree about critical minerals and some regional security issues.

Trump said he may ask about two Americans held in China.

Both countries have temporarily reduced some trade barriers.

They hope the meeting can help prevent their relationship from becoming more unstable.
