Pankaj Chaudhary Files Nomination for UP BJP President
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh is getting a new leader.
They will pick the new chief on Sunday, December 14.

Important party leaders met in Lucknow to prepare for this election.
They said the BJP follows a fair and open process, unlike other parties.
The likely new chief is Pankaj Chaudhary, a seven-time MP from Mahrajganj constituency and a prominent Kurmi leader.
The BJP is aiming to consolidate non-Yadav OBC votes, especially in key regions, for the 2027 Assembly elections.
A cabinet reshuffle is also expected to maintain regional balance.
Pankaj Chaudhary, a seven-time MP and prominent Kurmi leader, filed his nomination for the post of Uttar Pradesh BJP president.
Chaudhary submitted his nomination at the BJP state headquarters in Lucknow in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other senior party leaders.
With no rival candidate emerging, Chaudhary's election as the new state president is considered almost certain.
