DroneAcharya Aerial Shares Hit Lower Circuit
DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations, a company that makes drones, had its shares drop a lot in the stock market for two days in a row.
This happened because the market regulator, SEBI, found out that the company and its leaders did some bad things.
They used the money they got from selling shares to the public (IPO) in the wrong way.
They also lied about how much money they were making and tricked people into buying their shares.
Because of this, SEBI fined the company and its leaders a lot of money and said they can't be part of the stock market for a while.
This made people worried and sold their shares, which is why the price went down.
DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations' shares hit the lower circuit for two consecutive sessions.
SEBI barred the company, its promoters, and associated entities from the securities market for up to two years.
Total fines amounting to ₹75 lakh were imposed for misutilization of IPO proceeds and fraudulent disclosures.
The company's IPO raised ₹33.96 crore and was listed on the BSE SME platform on December 23, 2022.
SEBI found that the company inflated revenues, misrepresented financial statements, and misused IPO funds.
