Thane Resident Loses ₹41.73 Lakh in Abu Dhabi Job Scam

A man in Thane saw an online advertisement for a job at Abu Dhabi Airport.

He shared his personal documents after people claiming to be recruiters contacted him.

The scammers held a fake interview over WhatsApp.

They then sent him a fake appointment letter.

They asked him to pay several fees for registration and visa processing.

Believing the job was real, he used savings and borrowed money from family and a friend.

He eventually paid ₹41.73 lakh.

When the job never appeared and the callers disappeared, he reported the matter to cyber crime police.
