Shah Accuses Rahul of Disrespecting NE
Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Congress leader Rahul Gandhi of disrespecting the North East by not wearing a gamosa, a traditional scarf, at the President's Republic Day reception.
Shah claimed that all other dignitaries, including those from abroad, wore the scarf as a mark of respect, but Gandhi was the only one to refuse.
Shah made these remarks while addressing a public rally in Dibrugarh.
He also alleged that the Congress party did nothing for Assam's development and used infiltration as a tool for vote bank politics.
Shah asserted that there has been no infiltration in Assam since the BJP came to power and that those who had come to India illegally would be identified and sent back.
