Cipla Signs Exclusive Pact for Experimental Breast Cancer Drug

Cipla has made a deal to develop and sell an experimental cancer medicine.

The medicine is called TQB2102, or Rolditamig Deuderuxtecan.

It is designed to find HER2 proteins on cancer cells and deliver medicine to them.

Researchers are testing it in breast cancer and some other cancers.

Early results have shown promise in advanced breast cancer with low levels of HER2.

Cipla will test the drug and apply for approvals in several emerging markets.

The Chinese company that developed it will continue making and supplying it.

The treatment is not yet confirmed as approved for patients in these markets.
