WhatsApp Testing Easier Way to Find Old Messages on iPhone

WhatsApp is a popular app people use to send messages to their friends and family.

Sometimes people want to find a very old message they sent a long time ago.

Right now, if you use an iPhone, finding an old message takes a few extra steps.

You have to leave the chat, open a special information page, and then tap search.

WhatsApp is working on a new button that would make this easier.

When you scroll up to look at older messages, a search button would appear at the bottom of the screen.

Tapping it would let you search right inside the chat without leaving it.

The button would only show when you are looking at old messages, and it would disappear when you go back to the newest ones.

This new feature is not ready yet, so people cannot use it right now.

WhatsApp is still testing it, so the final design could change.
