Telangana Bans Almont-Kid Syrup Over Adulteration

The government in Telangana, India, has told people to stop using a medicine called Almont-Kid Syrup.

This syrup is used to help children with allergies, hay fever, and asthma.

The problem is that it might have a very harmful chemical called Ethylene Glycol in it.

The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) found this out and told the Telangana government.

The government then told everyone to stop using this syrup and to report any they have to the authorities.

The syrup was made by a company called Tridus Remedies in Bihar.

The government wants to make sure people are safe and not using something that could make them sick.

The syrup's batch number is AL-24002, and it was made in January 2025, with an expiry date of December 2026.
