TGNPDCL Crosses 100 MW Solar Milestone Under PM-KUSUM-A
TGNPDCL has reached more than 100 megawatts of solar power capacity.
The projects are spread across all 18 of its circles.
They are being developed under the PM-KUSUM-A scheme.
This scheme lets farmers put solar plants on their land.
Farmers may earn extra money by sending unused electricity to the grid.
TGNPDCL says solar power can help create cleaner energy.
The company is also developing another 200 megawatts of solar capacity.
It hopes to connect about 300 megawatts to the grid within three to four months.
TGNPDCL has crossed 100 MW of solar generation capacity under PM-KUSUM-A across its 18 circles.
CMD Karnati Varun Reddy said the milestone advances the utility’s renewable energy and sustainable power goals.
The scheme allows farmers to establish solar plants on their land and supply surplus electricity to the grid.
Another 200 MW of solar capacity is at various development stages, bringing planned capacity to about 300 MW.
TGNPDCL aims to integrate the full 300 MW with the grid within three to four months.
