IIT Hyderabad Director Appointed President of Metals Institute
Professor B. S. Murty, the head of IIT Hyderabad, is going to be the new boss of the Indian Institute of Metals, a group for people who work with metals.
He starts on August 1, 2025.
The current boss, Sajjan Jindal, gave him the job at a meeting in Kolkata.
Professor Murty wants to make the group better by sharing more ideas and working with different groups.
He has studied metals for a long time and has won awards for his work.
Prof. B. S. Murty of IIT Hyderabad has been elected President of the Indian Institute of Metals.
He will assume the role on August 1, 2025.
The announcement was made during the 79th Annual General Meeting in Kolkata.
