ITBP and DBT Partner to Enhance Border Troop Health
Imagine soldiers guarding the border in cold, high places.
They sometimes get sick because of the altitude and cold.
To help them, the ITBP (the border guards) is working with scientists from the Department of Biotechnology.
They're going to study how to make the soldiers healthier and more comfortable.
This includes finding ways to deal with the cold, low oxygen, and high-altitude sickness.
The scientists will also develop special food, medical kits, and gear to keep the soldiers healthy.
They will also research methods to help soldiers adapt to the harsh conditions, provide stress relief, and improve their diet, so the soldiers can perform their duties better.
They will share ideas and findings to improve the care provided to the soldiers.
ITBP and DBT signed an agreement for scientific solutions to health and environmental challenges faced by troops.
The partnership aims to address issues like high-altitude sickness, hypoxia, and extreme cold.
The agreement will facilitate research for better adaptation to harsh climates and stress relief.
The collaboration includes developing special nutrition packs and emergency medical kits.
The MoU also aims to foster interactions between DBT scientists and ITBP medical teams.
