Four Newborns with Low Birth Weight Die at UP Hospital
Imagine four tiny babies, smaller than a loaf of bread, who were born too early and weighed very little.
They were in a special hospital unit for newborns.
Sadly, their bodies were not strong enough to fight, and they passed away.
The doctors tried to help them, but the babies were very sick.
The families were told about how sick the babies were and that the hospital couldn't fully help.
They were offered the chance to go to a bigger hospital, but they said no.
Four newborns died at the District Women’s Hospital in Budaun.
The deaths occurred in the Special Newborn Care Unit (SNCU).
The babies had extremely low birth weights, ranging from 780 to 1,150 grams.
Families were informed about the critical condition of the babies.
Families declined an offer to transfer the babies to Saifai Medical College.
