Centre Responds to Air Pollution Concerns
Abhishek Banerjee, a member of parliament, asked the central government if they had given any warnings or advice to people in Delhi-NCR about very bad air quality.
The government said they have a program that helps with health issues caused by air pollution and they sent a warning to states on November 1.
But some people from Abhishek's party think the government did not answer his questions directly.
Abhishek Banerjee asked the Centre about public health advisories for high AQI in Delhi-NCR.
The Centre responded that it issues advisories through the National Programme on Climate Change and Human Health (NPCCHH).
An advisory was issued on 1 November 2025 to states and union territories.
The government has an organizational framework at national, state, and district levels for addressing air pollution-related illnesses.
Trinamul Congress members felt the Centre evaded direct answers to Abhishek's questions.
