Bhopal Metro: Physical Ticketing System Possible Due to Probe
The Bhopal Metro is getting ready to open, but there's a problem.
The company that installed the ticket machines is being investigated.
If the investigation isn't finished in time, the metro will use regular paper tickets, like they do in Indore.
The trains themselves have been tested to go very fast, but they will run a little slower when they start carrying passengers.
The first part of the metro will run between Subhash Nagar and AIIMS.
Probe against Turkish company Asis Electronics, which installed fare collection systems, is ongoing.
If the probe isn't complete by the Bhopal Metro launch, physical tickets will be used.
Asis Electronics also installed systems in Indore, where physical tickets are used.
Urban Development Minister demanded a probe after reports of Turkish-made drones being used against India.
Bhopal Metro trains have been tested at a maximum speed of 90 km/hour.
