TTD to Help Adivasis by Procuring Forest Produce Through Cooperative

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, or TTD, is a big temple organization in India.

TTD has decided to buy food and other products from tribal farmers who live in forests.

These tribal families collect things like honey, chillies, nuts, and spices.

TTD will buy these items through a special government company called the Girijan Cooperative Corporation.

This helps the tribal families because they get a steady place to sell what they make.

The board approved buying about 12.97 crore rupees worth of products for one year.

This includes special coffee made from coffee beans grown by tribal farmers in the Araku Valley.

Some products are being bought at higher prices to help the tribal producers, while others cost a bit less than before.

TTD also checked the quality of the products before buying them.

This way, the temple gets good products and tribal families get help earning a living.
