Maharashtra to Display Maratha Records, Hold Certificate Camps

Maharashtra to Display Maratha Records, Hold Certificate Camps

Maharashtra officials found 58 lakh records connected to the Maratha reservation issue.

They will display these records in village councils so people can check them.

District websites will also publish the records where possible.

Special camps will be held from September 10 to 17.

The camps will help eligible Maratha applicants prepare documents for caste certificates.

Officials say certificates must follow family-history records and the law.

About 3.5 lakh Kunbi certificates have already been issued in Marathwada.

The government says it wants to provide Maratha reservation without reducing another community’s reservation and will discuss the issue with Manoj Jarange Patil.
