Mumbai Plans 15-Day Pollution Campaign Ahead of Winter
Mumbai’s rainy season is almost finished.
The city is now getting ready for festivals and winter.
During these months, the air could become more polluted.
To help prevent that, city officials will start a special campaign on October 1.
The campaign will last 15 days.
Officials will use 28 rules designed to control air pollution.
Mumbai was ranked 28th among 48 large cities in a national clean-air assessment.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation will begin a special 15-day anti-pollution campaign on October 1.

Officials are concerned that air quality could worsen during the festive season and winter months.
The campaign follows the Union ministry’s National Clean Air Programme ranking Mumbai 28th among 48 major metropolitan cities.
