AU Students Patent Health-Monitoring Smart Insole
Imagine shoes that can monitor your health!
Students from Andhra University Women's Engineering College created Sole Sense, a smart insole that does just that.
It fits inside your shoes and checks things like your heart rate, temperature, and how you walk.
If something seems wrong, it sends out a warning.
It can also tell people where you are if you need help, and even helps those who can't see well by sensing obstacles.
They hope companies will start making these so everyone can use them.
They are aiming to sell them for around ₹6,000.
AU Women's Engineering College students patented a smart shoe insole called Sole Sense.
The insole monitors vital signs, posture, and gait, providing real-time alerts for abnormalities.
It includes GPS/GSM for emergency location and ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection.
The technology is designed for broader use, including for persons with disabilities.
The insole, priced at ₹6,000, has diagnostic accuracy matching standard laboratory reports.
