Ex-South African President's Daughter Accused of Recruiting Africans for Russia
There's a big problem in South Africa.
The daughter of a former president, Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla, is accused of tricking 17 men, including some of her relatives, to go to Russia to fight in the war against Ukraine.
These men were promised personal development and security training, but instead, they were allegedly forced to join the Russian military.
The older half-sister of Duduzile, Nkosazana Zuma-Mncube, made these accusations.
South African law says it's illegal to join a foreign military without the government's permission.
A lawmaker named Chris Hattingh said the men were misled and their passports and phones were taken away.
Duduzile hasn't responded to these accusations publicly.
