Belagavi Sugar Factory Accident Death Toll Rises to 8
There was a very sad accident at a sugar factory in Belagavi, Karnataka.
A boiler exploded, and hot sugar spilled, hurting many workers.
Eight workers died, and one is still very sick in the hospital.
The police think that the workers and some bosses did not follow safety rules.
Three bosses have been blamed for not making sure the workers were safe.
The families of the workers are very upset and are waiting for help and money to support them.
The death toll from the boiler accident at Inamdar Sugars in Belagavi district has risen to eight, with workers succumbing to burn injuries in hospital.
Preliminary investigations indicate negligence by both the workers and senior officers, who climbed four floors to repair a valve without adequate safety measures.
Three officers heading the engineering, technical maintenance, and processing departments of the factory have been booked on charges of failing to implement proper safety protocols.
A 'green corridor' was created to shift the injured from the factory to the hospital, with three workers declared dead on arrival.
