Miller Aims to Win 2027 ODI World Cup at Home
David Miller is a famous cricketer from South Africa who is 37 years old and has been playing for a very long time.
His special job is to bat in the middle of the lineup and finish games by chasing down runs for his team.
Miller wants to end his career by winning the 2027 Cricket World Cup trophy.
That World Cup will be played in South Africa, along with Zimbabwe and Namibia.
He says winning in front of his own fans and in a place where he has played for many years would be very special.
He knows that making the team is never guaranteed, so he plans to work hard to earn his spot.
His favorite innings was scoring 101 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, which was his first hundred in the IPL and in T20 cricket.
He also remembers scoring 118 runs against Australia in Durban.
His favorite IPL moment is winning the trophy with Gujarat Titans in their first season.
Now he hopes to finish his career with a World Cup win at home.
David Miller, 37, says winning the 2027 ODI World Cup on home soil is a goal he wants to achieve to finish his career with a trophy.
The tournament will be co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia in October-November 2027, with a revamped format of preliminary stage, group stage, Super 7 and knockout rounds.
Miller scored 166 runs in eight matches for Southern Brave in The Hundred 2026, though the franchise did not advance to the knockouts.
His most rewarding knock was an unbeaten 101 for Kings XI Punjab against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2013 IPL, his first IPL and T20 hundred in a successful chase.
He also recalled his 118 not out against Australia in Durban and said winning the IPL title with Gujarat Titans in their debut season was his favourite IPL moment.
