Czechs raise $6 million for Ukraine generators
People in the Czech Republic have raised a lot of money to help Ukrainians stay warm.
Russia has been attacking Ukraine's power plants, which has left many people without electricity in very cold weather.
The Czechs collected over $6 million in just five days to buy generators, heaters, and batteries.
These items will help hospitals and people in Ukraine keep warm and have power for important things like charging phones.
The European Commission is also sending generators to help.
The money is being spent quickly to get the supplies to Ukraine as soon as possible.
Czechs raised over $6.16 million in five days for Ukraine's power needs.
Funds will buy generators, heaters, and batteries for hospitals and people.
Russian attacks on Ukraine's power grid have left hundreds of thousands without electricity in subzero temperatures.
The European Commission is sending 447 generators worth $4.39 million.
The fundraising initiative, darekproputina.cz, has raised over $55 million since Russia's full invasion in 2022.
