Dileep acquitted in 2017 actress assault case
A court in Kochi has said that actor Dileep is not guilty in a case from 2017 where an actress was hurt.
The court also gave back his passport, which he had to give up when he was first arrested.
Six other people were found guilty and will go to jail for 20 years.
Two of the guilty people are trying to appeal their sentence.
The actress who was hurt posted a message on social media saying she is just a normal person and wants to live her life.
She also talked about how people are being mean to her online.
Actor Dileep was acquitted in the 2017 actress assault case by the Ernakulam District and Principal Sessions Court.
The court sentenced six other accused to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment for their roles in the crime.
Dileep's passport, which he had surrendered in 2017 as a bail condition, was released on December 13, 2025.
Two of the convicted, Pradeep and Saleem H, have filed appeals against their conviction and sentence in the Kerala High Court.
The survivor of the assault posted an emotional message on social media, speaking out against cyber attacks and the allegations made against her.
