BCCI Financially Robust Despite Losing Title Sponsors
The BCCI, which runs cricket in India, recently lost its main sponsor, Dream 11.
But don't worry, they're doing just fine!
They found new sponsors like Adidas and Apollo Tyres.
Their money situation is actually pretty good.
They have a lot of money saved up and are planning to spend some on making cricket grounds better all over India.
They also have to pay some taxes and have some money set aside for unexpected things.
So, even though they lost a big sponsor, they're still doing well and have lots of plans for the future.
BCCI parted ways with Dream 11 but secured new sponsors like Adidas and Apollo Tyres.
Projected income for FY 2025-2026 is INR 8,963 crore, showing a decline due to lower ICC event shares.
Interest income for FY 2025-2026 is estimated at INR 1,500 crore, up from INR 1,368 crore.
General fund grew by INR 3,358 crore in FY 2024-2025, credited to solid revenue streams.
Budget for FY 2025-2026 projects a surplus of INR 6,728 crore, with INR 500 crore allocated for infrastructure subsidies.
