Gronkowski Reaffirms Stance on Transgender Athletes in Women's Sports
Former NFL player Rob Gronkowski believes that men's and women's sports should be kept separate, with only biological females allowed in women's sports.
This comes amid new rules from the U.S. government about who can play in women's sports, supported by athletes like Jonathan Isaac.
Some athletes disagree, saying these rules are unfair to transgender people.
It's a complex issue about fairness and equality.
Rob Gronkowski voiced opposition to transgender men participating in women's sports, echoing his 2023 comments.
The U.S. government issued an executive order clarifying Title IX safeguards, effective February 2025, restricting women's sports to biological females.
Several sports organizations, including USA Track & Field and the NCAA, are updating eligibility requirements to align with the new standards.
Athletes like Jonathan Isaac and Riley Gaines support Gronkowski's stance on sex-based competition.
Some athletes, including WNBA players, disapprove of the new rules, arguing they are discriminatory.
