TN forms panel to review temple land holdings

The Tamil Nadu government has set up a special team to check the land owned by six important temples of Lord Murugan.

This comes after a big scandal where land worth Rs 100 crore was allegedly sold for just Rs 2 crore.

The team will look into any wrongdoings and take legal action.

The main accused, K Vellathurai, had his bail request rejected by the court.

Another person, Vinoth Suryakumar, who was accused of defaming the temple minister, got bail.

The government promises a fair investigation.
