Mangaluru Railway Area Joins Mysuru Division After Jurisdiction Shift

The Mangaluru Railway Area is now part of Mysuru Division instead of Palakkad Division.

The change happened at midnight on Thursday.

Railway officer Shammas Hameed checked that the changeover was properly planned.

Other officers visited several railway stations and facilities in Mangaluru.

They spoke with workers about what they needed to do their jobs.

Officials checked trains, safety systems, maintenance work and passenger services.

They also made sure different railway teams could communicate clearly.

Railway authorities said the goal is to keep services running normally during the change.
