International Air Cargo Growth Slows at Indian Airports
Air cargo growth at major Indian airports is slowing down after a period of strong growth.
Last year, ships took longer routes due to the Red Sea crisis, which made air cargo more popular.
Now, things are going back to normal.
A ban on some exports from Bangladesh and new taxes from the US are also contributing to slower growth.
Experts say the slower growth isn't necessarily bad, but a return to usual levels.
Businesses are waiting to see if the US will remove the extra taxes.
International air cargo growth at major Indian airports has slowed.
Overall growth in the April-July period was 4.5%, compared to 19.9% the year before.
The slowdown is partly due to the normalization of shipping routes.
The US has imposed extra tariffs which is causing uncertainty in exports.
Withdrawal of trans-shipment facilities to Bangladesh impacted cargo growth.
