South Korean shares hit 2-month high
South Korean stocks went up on Monday to their highest point in almost two months.
This happened because companies that make computer chips, like Samsung and SK Hynix, did really well.
People think this is because more chips are being bought.
The Korean won, which is the money used in South Korea, also got stronger compared to the dollar.
At the same time, the prices for borrowing money (like bonds) went down a little.
This is good news for people who have stocks, especially in tech companies.
South Korean shares rose to a near 2-month high on Monday.
The KOSPI index increased by 1.58% to 4,195.05.
Chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix saw significant gains.
The Korean won strengthened against the dollar by 0.53%.
Benchmark bond yields for 3-year and 10-year treasuries fell.
