Taiwan Raises GDP Growth Forecast
Taiwan is really happy because their economy is growing faster than they thought.
This is because lots of people around the world want the special computer chips that Taiwan makes, especially for things like artificial intelligence.
Big companies like Nvidia and Apple are buying lots of these chips.
Because of this, Taiwan's things that they sell to other countries, called exports, are doing really well too.
They sold almost 50% more stuff in October compared to last year, which is a new record.
The people who keep track of these things in Taiwan think the economy will keep growing fast for the rest of the year.
Taiwan raised its Q3 GDP growth forecast to 8.21% year-on-year, up from the previous estimate of 7.64%.
The growth is driven by strong demand for AI technology and semiconductor chips, which Taiwan is a global leader in manufacturing.
Foreign firms like Nvidia and Apple have invested heavily in Taiwanese semiconductors, servers, and data centers.
Taiwan's exports hit a record high in October, with total shipments reaching $61.8 billion, a nearly 50% increase from the previous year.
The updated GDP forecasts for Q4 and the full year are 7.91% and 7.37%, respectively, citing factors like no special tariffs on semiconductors and recovering demand for consumer electronics.
