Techie Weighs Bengaluru Comfort Against Dublin Adventure Abroad
A tech worker in Bengaluru has two good job choices.
His current Indian job pays very well and lets him stay near his family.
A Dublin job would pay a large salary and provide company-sponsored immigration support.
However, Ireland has taxes, rent, and other costs that could make saving money harder.
The worker and his wife do not have children, so moving may be easier now.
He also wants to experience Europe and travel with his wife.
Some people advised staying in India if money is the main goal.
Others said moving could be worthwhile for the experience and quality of life.
A 28-year-old techie is deciding whether to remain in Bengaluru or move to Dublin.
His Indian package includes Rs 90 lakh fixed pay and about Rs 75 lakh annually in ESOPs.
The Dublin offer includes a yearly salary of 150,000 euros, $50,000 in annual RSUs, and visa sponsorship.
He is concerned that Irish taxes, rent, and living costs could reduce the financial benefit of relocating.
Online commenters said India may offer greater purchasing power, while Dublin could provide overseas experience and a different quality of life.
